THANKSGIVING

Many of us don’t know how to be thankful or what to be thankful for. Many times we pray to God to show us what to be thankful for but when you stop to think, you will discover that there are a lot of things we have to be thankful for. When you wake up, you find what to be thankful about, the first is, you can move, you can take your bath and you are ready to go to work. The second thing to be thankful about is that you have a good job that keeps you going. When you eat you should be thankful that you can afford food. You should be thankful that God has provided for your feeding.

You should always be thankful for the good friends you have, for the comfortable house you own, for the water you use to bath, eat and use for other domestic purposes. Even after all the things possess, you still do not know how to be thankful to God, you still ask God to show you what to be thankful for? Even the air you breathe in is of the lord and you have to be thankful for it, for the fact that you can even talk is a privilege. So tell me, what more could you be thankful for? If you don’t thank God for little things, you can’t thank Him when you have much. Learn to be thankful to God in all circumstances and never forget to be thankful to your friends, family and loved ones.

BEING A CHRISTIAN DOESN’T MEAN YOU ARE TRANSFORMED

Not all Christians are truly transformed. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you transformed; transformation is the willingness and ability to live beyond the limits of life and it is better than change. It is also different from change because transformation is the fundamental state of being a new person. Christians found fighting in places such as motor parks are Christians but not yet transformed. You can’t say he/she is not a Christian because the person fought. Do not be quick to judge and moreover Christianity is not a religion, but a way of life. The thing lacking in the life of that person is transformation and for transformation to take place, one has to be willing if not, there can never be transformation.  Most importantly, it takes the grace of God for transformation to take place.

Some Christians dress indecently; some even go drunk due to the fact that transformation has not taken place in their lives. They have to settle down and discover that what they are doing is wrong. If you don’t come to terms with your errors, you can never get better, but when you realize your wrongs, only then will you see the need for transformation. Let us not just be Christians, but transformed Christians in God.
